Apple has recently released the iPhone 4S under the leadership of CEO Tim Cook. The 4S is the latest in the series of its cellphone range. It is said to be the latest new development of cellphone technology, incorporating the revolutionary new iOS operating system, the most advanced mobile phone operating system ever, responsible for creating the revolutionary new media user experience that is sealing Apple’s status as the front-runner in the market.

The iPhone 4 S includes all of the basic capabilities of the previous iPhone, the iPhone4, with all of the same apps and software such as iCloud for management of music, photos, videos and documents, for example. There are, however, some major new innovations that have furthered the capabilities of what has come before. One example of this is Siri, the revolutionary new voice command system for operation of the phones utilities. The technology is so advanced that it can not only recognize and understand the words and phrases that are spoken to it, but can also understand the meanings behind human speech and interpret them logically and appropriately in order to perform various and numerous ‘hands-free’ commands.

The iPhone 4S uses the new dual-core A5 chip, which is the fastest processor technology currently available in any of the models on the market. It brings the benefits of increased graphics capabilities with smoother gameplay, app usage, faster speeds and even an increased battery life, this revolutionary new hardware can be considered as responsible for pushing new media to its highest and most effective levels of usability yet. The ‘retina’ HD display that comes as standard with this model provides extremely high definition, which further increases the user experience of applications and the iCloud photo and movie viewing software.

One of the most pronounced product improvements of the iPhone 4S from the predecessor versions is the built in camera/video camera. The innovative new design has allowed the incorporation of an f/2.4 aperture sight. Furthermore, the improved backlight sensor, colour correction software and anti-blur motion sensors provide crystal clear quality and 8 megapixel or 1080p high definition, as much as 160% of the definition that was possible with the iPhone 4.

It is needless to say that with all of the innovative and revolutionary incorporations, this model of the iPhone is truly the most advanced piece of equipment in its market. It is one of the most fully integrated and user-friendly new media technologies available on the mass market and is certainly a forerunner in the field of competition of smart phones with competition such as the Nokia N8-00, the HTC Evo 3D and the Blackberry Bold 9900, for example.

Eerste Androidcamera van Polaroid

LEEUWARDEN – Polaroid heeft de eerste camera met het Android-besturingssysteem gepresenteerd op de Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. De camera lijkt in eerste instantie veel weg te hebben van een smartphone. Het verschil is dat de focus ligt op de camera en niet op het bellen en internet, wat je wel op een smartphone gewend bent. De camera is geinstalleerd met een 16 megapixel beeldsensor en 3x optische zoom. Het apparaat kan verbinding maken met WIFI en heeft ook de mogelijkheid tot 3G.

De Polaroid SC1630 HD Smart Camera, zoals de camera voluit heet, heeft een 3.2-inch scherm met 800×480 pixels. Met het apparaat kunnen naast foto’s ook video’s gemaakt worden. Een anti-shake-functie is ingebouwd voor de mensen met een iets minder vaste hand, zodat foto’s toch nog scherp geproduceerd worden.

Tot zover geen revolutionaire technieken. Dat zit hem vooral in het Androidsysteem en de mogelijkheid tot WIFI. Via de androidmarket zijn softwareprogramma’s als Pixlr-o-matic en Magic Hour, waarmee je je eigen gemaakte foto’s direct kunt bewerken op je camera. Via de WIFI is het mogelijk direct gemaakte foto’s te sturen naar je vaste computer en te delen op sociale media als Facebook, Hyves en Twitter.

De camera is nog niet geheel geschikt voor gebruik. De accu van de camera is nog wat aan de magere kant. Het is onbekend of de camera ook in Nederland zal uitkomen. In april is hij wel in de Verenigde Staten te verkrijgen voor een bedrag van ongeveer 299 euro.

C1000 Nieuwe App

Er bestaan tegenwoordig heel veel verschillende apps voor verschillende technologieen. Zo bestaan er mobiele apps, maar ook apps voor tablets. Veel van deze apps zijn er om informatie te verkrijgen of voor social media. Vermaak komt pas als tweede prioriteit.

Apps worden voor steeds meer doeleinden gebruikt, zo heeft de C1000 er nu ook een gelanceerd. De Albert Heijn, Dekamarkt, Coop en Hoogvliet supermarkten gingen de C1000 al voor, maar nu is het hun beurt.

C1000 heeft sinds 10 Januari een app uitgebracht die helpt met het halen van de dagelijkse boodschappen. Hier kan je verschillende aanbiedingen vinden en de gegevens zijn actueel. De verschillende filialen kunnen online de eigen aanbiedingen toevoegen en de gewijzigde openingstijden doorgeven. Je kan ook recepten vinden om inspiratie op te doen. Door middel van de aanbiedingen en recepten kan je ook een boodschappenlijstje maken en zelf nog andere producten toevoegen. Je kan de lijstjes bewaren en met één druk op een knop kan je je eigen winkel opgeven en alles op looproute sorteren en vervolgens afstrepen als je in de winkel bent.

Het bijzondere aan deze app is, is dat je je boodschappenlijstje kunt delen en anderen van huis uit veranderingen aan kunnen brengen. Zo is je boodschappenlijstje altijd up-to-date!
