The iPhone 4S: A revolutionary new media experience
Enjoying the improved features of the iPhone
Apple has recently released the iPhone 4S under the leadership of CEO Tim Cook. The 4S is the latest in the series of its cellphone range. It is said to be the latest new development of cellphone technology, incorporating the revolutionary new iOS operating system, the most advanced mobile phone operating system ever, responsible for creating the revolutionary new media user experience that is sealing Apple’s status as the front-runner in the market.
The iPhone 4 S includes all of the basic capabilities of the previous iPhone, the iPhone4, with all of the same apps and software such as iCloud for management of music, photos, videos and documents, for example. There are, however, some major new innovations that have furthered the capabilities of what has come before. One example of this is Siri, the revolutionary new voice command system for operation of the phones utilities. The technology is so advanced that it can not only recognize and understand the words and phrases that are spoken to it, but can also understand the meanings behind human speech and interpret them logically and appropriately in order to perform various and numerous ‘hands-free’ commands.
The iPhone 4S uses the new dual-core A5 chip, which is the fastest processor technology currently available in any of the models on the market. It brings the benefits of increased graphics capabilities with smoother gameplay, app usage, faster speeds and even an increased battery life, this revolutionary new hardware can be considered as responsible for pushing new media to its highest and most effective levels of usability yet. The ‘retina’ HD display that comes as standard with this model provides extremely high definition, which further increases the user experience of applications and the iCloud photo and movie viewing software.
One of the most pronounced product improvements of the iPhone 4S from the predecessor versions is the built in camera/video camera. The innovative new design has allowed the incorporation of an f/2.4 aperture sight. Furthermore, the improved backlight sensor, colour correction software and anti-blur motion sensors provide crystal clear quality and 8 megapixel or 1080p high definition, as much as 160% of the definition that was possible with the iPhone 4.
It is needless to say that with all of the innovative and revolutionary incorporations, this model of the iPhone is truly the most advanced piece of equipment in its market. It is one of the most fully integrated and user-friendly new media technologies available on the mass market and is certainly a forerunner in the field of competition of smart phones with competition such as the Nokia N8-00, the HTC Evo 3D and the Blackberry Bold 9900, for example.
Piraterij is voor de Amerikaanse staat al lange tijd een ergernis. Er zijn nu 2 wetten bedacht die dit tegen zouden moeten gaan. Gisteren (18 januari 2012) liet het internet duidelijk zien wat hun mening hier over is.
De SOPA & PIPA wet willen het verbieden om met sites in contact te komen die illegale piraterij aan bieden. Ze willen dit doen door deze sites te blokkeren. Wanneer iemand een reactie of iets op een site plaatst waarin een link is naar een dergelijke piraterijsite is de kans groot dat de hele site uit de lucht word gehaald. Dit laatste is een grote reden voor al het protest vandaag. Volgens verschillende mensen zullen er op deze manier duizenden onschuldige sites onnodig worden geblokkeerd.
Enkele van de meest bezochte sites doen vaandaag protest door ‘’op zwart’’ te gaan. Dit houd voornamelijk in dat ze deels de stekker eruit trekken. De engelse site van Wikipedia heeft bijvoorbeeld een zwart scherm en is ontoegangkelijk. Google doet het rustiger aan maar heeft zijn homepage aangepast. Aangezien veel van de grootste sites meedoen aan het protest zal iedereen er iets van meekrijgen.

Een van de belangrijke nieuwe features van de nieuwe iPhone 4s is Siri, de spraakherkenning service van Apple. Een persoonlijke assistent die je met je stem bestuurd. De nog maar in bèta fase service deed zoals gewoonlijk de media weer verbazen over de innovatieve ideeën van Apple. Iedereen had het er over, een verandering voor een hele nieuwe gebruikers ervaring. Tijd voor Google om een alternatief en een concurrent te ontwikkelen voor Siri.
Google heeft zelf al spraakherkenning service geïntegreerd in het Android besturingssysteem maar deze zal binnenkort een grote update krijgen volgens Androidandme. Deze update zal er voor zorgen dat de spraakherkenning beter en natuurlijker word, een beetje in vergelijking met Siri. De website heeft laten weten dat ze de laatste weken uit verschillende bronnen informatie kregen over het Majel project
De naam Majel is afgeleid van de actrice Majel Barrett-Roddenberry die in bijna alle Star Trek series heeft meegespeeld. Ze is het meest bekend van haar stem als de boordcomputer van het ruimteschip Enterprise in Star Trek The Next Generation.
Google search zal volgens de bron sterk worden geïntegreerd in Majel, om gebruikers de beste antwoorden te geven voor hun vragen. Wat de bron ook benadrukt is dat het even goed, of zelfs beter word dan Siri. Het zal de gebruiker preciezere antwoorden geven op de vragen en de interface zou zelf beter werken dan die van Siri.
De bronnen laten ook weten dat Majel op korte termijn zal worden uitgegeven, als het einde van dit jaar niet gehaald word zal het in het 1e kwartaal van 2012 gereleaset worden. Deze service zal worden aangeboden op Android-telefoons.
Het is maar afwachten of Google met Majel kan concurreren tegen Apple’s Siri. Tegen die tijd kunt u het zelf gaan beoordelen.
